I though about adding a few lines about my grandfather, as I found almost nothing about him on the Web, and that's a shame.

He was born in Ljubljana in 1916, but moved to and later settled in Split in his later years. He had black hair and green eyes. He was a pilot in his early years, and he was flying for the RAF. I was told that once he had a terrible plane crash, so terrible that he was split to pieces, but he survived it. Later he would be driving his car through our street as if it is a plane. He was also a long-time president of the Aeroklub Split.

Along with being a WWII pilot he was also a lawyer. In the 1960s he was the CEO of the company called PPG-Poduzece za Pripremu Gradnje (CPC-Company for Preparation of Construction), later renamed to PIS-Poduzece za Izgradnju Splita (CCS-Company for Construction of Split). At that time PPG/CPC was in charge of contructing the Split Airport, and my grandfather was also the 2nd CEO (from 1967 to 1968) of this airport.

At the end of the 1960s he was also in charge of founding the Split office of the (then big) travel agency Emona Globtour from Ljubljana, Slovenia (which was dissolved in the meantime), where my mother also worked. What I also know is that along with being a key figure in the office, he was also the head of the guests' representatives.
